Child Protection Policy

1. A No Alcohol rule shall apply for all people within the academy's hours

2. Foul Language or abusive behaviour toward coaches, opponents or fellow players will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

3. A SMART dress code shall be applied when representing the academy. The wearing of Hoodies and Baseball caps in the playing areas is strictly forbidden. Players with Academy shirts shall wear black trousers/skirts and black shoes.

4. Academy shirts must be worn whenever a player undertakes competitive darts i.e. external leagues, competitions when representing the academy.

5. No player/member shall act in a manner which may reasonably be considered to be prejudicial to the interests or standing of the academy or its sponsors or which could reasonably be considered to injure or discredit the academy or bring the game of darts into disrepute.

6. No player/member shall abuse, ignore or refuse reasonable requests from the general public, broadcasters, promoter or media at any tournament or event whilst representing the academy.

7. All players/members shall desist from any behaviour that may reasonably be construed as gamesmanship before, during or after any event whilst representing the academy.

8. No player/member under the age of 16 years shall be permitted to leave a venue unless accompanied by a responsible adult.*

9. A 'one strike' policy shall be enforced. **

10. No friends shall be permitted to accompany players on academy nights unless they wish to become playing members and permission has been given by an academy representative i.e. coach or committee member.

* Responsible adult being parent/guardian or other nominated person over the age of 18

** 'One Strike' being a single warning then dismissal from the Academy

Rules

Membership is open to boys and girls aged 10 to 21

Annual Membership of the Academy is £2 per year payable within 1 month of joining The Academy and there after by January 31st each year.

A weekly subscription fee of £1 is payable on the night every week.

Once all youngsters have completed 12 weeks continuous attendance they will all recieve their very own Academy darts shirts that will be fully embroidered these are at no extra cost. If your child misses a week the 12 weeks is carried over by another week i.e 13 weeks

Monday nights 7pm to 9.30 pm
